This Weekend at Starworld: Glow Battle Night, Tigers & Dragons Family Night, & World Championships RSVP

Hello Reader and family,

We have an exciting and important weekend ahead at Starworld, and the video below shows exactly what we mean.

This week connects three things that matter most:
• Real skill-building training
• Confidence and structure for our younger students
• Clear planning for our WTSDA 2026 World Championship Tournament

Here’s what’s happening.

🌟 Saturday — Glow Battle Parents’ Night Out
Saturday, January 17 at 6:30 PM

This is organized martial arts training disguised as fun.

Students will be:
• Using glow “lightsabers” in safe, instructor-led sparring games
• Practicing reaction speed, footwork, and teamwork
• Training the same focus and control we teach in class, just in a high-energy, fun format

Pizza and a drink are included.
Students may bring a friend and split the cost — just $25 each.

Spots are limited, and these events fill quickly.

🐯 Friday — Tigers & Dragons Family Night (Ages 4–7)
Friday, January 16 at 6:30 PM

If your child is a Tiger or Dragon Student, this special night is designed specifically for you, the parent, and the student, with a guided look inside how our WTSDA Certified World Tang Soo Do Association Tigers & Dragons training program builds the skills parents want most.

You will watch your child train while we explain:
• How drills develop focus and listening skills
• How movement builds balance and coordination
• How structure builds confidence and self-control
• How the age approprite class drills (disguised as games) are designed to teach real martial arts skills

Many parents of young children wonder, “Is this really helping my child grow?” This night lets you see the answer for yourself.

🥋 Drill of the Week — Grab Escapes
Students are working on grab self-defense escapes, learning how to safely break free if someone grabs their wrist, arm, shoulder, or other common points. Older students practice more advanced versions, while younger students train in simple, age-appropriate ways.

Across all ages, this builds awareness, confidence, and the habit of not freezing in uncomfortable situations, taught in a calm, controlled, and safe environment.

2026 World Tang Soo Do Championships — Please Respond

Thank you to everyone who has already completed the World Championships form; your quick response is truly helpful.

If you have not yet submitted your response, every family must do so, including:
• Demo Team members
• Non-Demo Team students
• Families who are still undecided

We use this information to accurately plan our team size, choreography, training schedules, travel coordination, etc., so everything runs smoothly for our families.

👉 Submit your World Championships response here:
https://starworld.kit.com/c438e2bcfe

Please submit your response by Friday, January 16, so we can move forward with planning without delay.

We truly believe in the work our students are doing here. The growth, confidence, and discipline built at Starworld don’t happen by accident; they are earned one class at a time. This weekend gives you a chance to see that process in action on Friday, and students can enjoy an unforgettable experience at Saturday’s Parents’ Night Out.

We’re excited to share our Tigers & Dragons program with families on Friday evening and welcome everyone back for a fun, high-energy PNO at Starworld this weekend.
