Hello Reader and family,

Belt testing packets will be handed out to students in class from Monday through Wednesday.

Please take a few minutes to carefully review each page with your child when they bring it to you, so they also feel prepared, confident, and organized for testing day.

The packet includes several important items:

• Belt Test & Graduation Packet Cover
• Testing schedule and location information
• Written question sheets for students ages 8 and up
• Board breaking requirements
• Tiny Tigers & Little Dragons drawing/writing page
• 2026 Summer Training T-Shirt Order Form

BELT TEST & GRADUATION PACKET COVER

The cover contains:
• Testing times and schedule
• Location information
• Team performance time
• Black Belt promotion time
• Student's testing time by program

Please review the schedule time carefully so your family arrives on time and students are fully prepared.

STUDENTS AGES 8+ QUESTION SHEET

Students ages 8 and older are required to complete the written question sheet based on the rank they are testing for.

Students should:
• Answer neatly and completely
• Use a separate sheet of paper if needed
• Write their name on every page submitted

This assignment helps students review important Tang Soo Do knowledge, leadership concepts, and martial arts understanding before testing.

BOARD BREAKING REQUIREMENTS

Youth, Teen & Adult Students testing for Green, Brown, Red, or Blue Belt are required to bring boards for testing.

Board sizes and requirements are listed on the question sheet by age group and rank level.

Please make sure:
• Boards are pine wood
• Correct dimensions are followed
• Boards are brought to the testing location on Saturday

TINY TIGERS & LITTLE DRAGONS PAGE

Tiny Tigers and Little Dragons will complete the fun drawing/writing page included in the packet.

Students may:
• Draw a picture
• Write a few sentences
• Explain why they enjoy karate

This activity allows our younger students to participate in a positive, creative, and confidence-building way.

SUMMER TRAINING T-SHIRTS

The packet also includes the 2026 Starworld Summer Training T-Shirt Order Form.

These optional shirts may be worn during training in June, July, and August. Only the official 2026 Starworld Summer Training shirts or WTSDA T-shirt with the WTSDA logo on it may be worn in place of the traditional karate top during those summer months as well.

Students are still encouraged to wear their traditional white karate top whenever possible. The optional summer shirt program is simply offered for added comfort during the hotter Arizona months.

Even students who are not testing are welcome to purchase a shirt.

The shirts are:
• Limited 2026 collector’s edition shirts
• Approved for summer training
• Available in two colors
• Optional for all students

Please review the order form carefully for sizing, pricing, color options, and ordering deadlines.
