This Week at Starworld: Fathers, Future Leaders & Water Wars!

Hello Reader and family!,

One of the things I love most about martial arts is that it gives families opportunities to spend meaningful time together while helping children develop confidence, discipline, respect, and leadership skills that will benefit them for a lifetime.

This week, we have several special activities coming up that do exactly that.

Father's Day Train Together Event

Saturday, June 20 β€’ 12:45 PM

This Father's Day, I invite dads, grandfathers, stepfathers, and father figures to step onto the training floor and experience martial arts alongside their child.

You won't be watching from the sidelines. You'll be moving, learning, laughing, and training together.

Whether you have martial arts experience or none at all, this event is designed to be fun, safe, and memorable.

Many years from now, your child may not remember every toy, gift, or card they received, but they will remember the day you stepped onto the mat and shared an experience with them.

Strong Dads. Strong Kids. Strong Futures.

🌟 Every Extra Hour Counts - Day Training Next Week

June 22–24 β€’ 9:00 AM–12:00 PM
πŸ† Champions Are Built Before The Event

Daytime training offers a tremendous opportunity to gain an edge before performance and competition day.

Students who attend all three days will receive an additional 9 hours of focused training (9:00 AM–12:00 PM daily).

The morning schedule is ideal in Arizona's summer, allowing students to train before the midday heat while staying active, engaged, and productive.

One of the biggest advantages of the daytime classes is their size. Unlike regular evening classes, daytime training typically has fewer students on the floor. This allows for:

βœ… More individual coaching and feedback

βœ… More opportunities to ask questions

βœ… More repetitions and practice time

βœ… Greater attention to forms, weapons, and one-step techniques

βœ… Increased confidence through additional floor time

βœ… Better preparation for tournament performance

Many competitors spend months preparing, but often the greatest improvements occur during the final few weeks before the event. Extra quality practice, additional coaching, and focused training can make a significant difference when it is time to step into the ring.

Whether your goal is to compete, improve your skills, or simply continue progressing over the summer, the daytime classes offer an outstanding opportunity to make progress. With the World Championship only a few weeks away, this additional daytime training can be especially beneficial for students competing. More time on the floor means more repetitions, more confidence, more conditioning, and more opportunities to fine-tune forms, one-steps, weapons, and presentation skills before stepping into the ring. Tournament success is often built during the weeks leading up to the event, and every additional hour of quality practice helps.

πŸ’¦ Parents Night Out – Water Wars Ninja Night

Saturday, June 20 β€’ 6:30 PM–9:00 PM

Parents, you deserve a night off.

While you enjoy a few hours to yourselves, students will enjoy an action-packed evening of:

πŸ”« Water Battles

🎯 Water Balloon Challenges

πŸƒ Obstacle Courses

πŸ† Team Competitions

πŸ• Pizza and Snacks

🎁 Prizes and Giveaways

This event is always one of the highlights of summer, and space is limited.

🎯 Character Development: Responsibility – Week 3

This week's leadership lesson focuses on:

Maintain Regular and Constant Practice

One of the most important lessons children can learn is that success is built one practice session at a time.

Students who consistently attend class, practice their skills, and follow through on commitments develop confidence because they know they can depend on themselves. Consistency creates confidence.

β˜€οΈ Summer Black Belts Are Built in June

Summer can be a time when students either move forward or fall behind.

The students who continue attending classes, participate in leadership activities, train at camps, and stay engaged during the summer months are often the ones who experience the greatest growth throughout the year.

My hope is that every Starworld student uses these summer months to build confidence, strengthen character, develop leadership skills, and continue becoming the very best version of themselves.

We look forward to seeing everyone in class and at our upcoming events.

Discipline Today. Confidence Tomorrow. Leadership Always.

Tang Soo!
